1. Balancing Light and Dark : Ostara tale
Around March 20th, as spring stirs in the air, Ostara, the Spring Equinox, arrives on the Pagan Wheel of Time. It’s a celebration of renewal : the earth awakens, flowers bloom, animals emerge, and love is in the air.
The equinox is a moment of perfect balance : day and night, light and dark, hold equal sway. It’s a time to reflect on how balance shapes our lives, much like the pagan goddess Eostre, who symbolizes fertility and growth. As she emerges from winter’s shadow, so too does the earth, inviting us to plant seeds, both in nature and within ourselves.
Ostara teaches us that light and darkness coexist, and each has its role in the cycle of life.
As for me, Spring remind me of Persephone, daughter of Demeter — Goddess of the Harvests.
Girls, it’s not about the pomegranates — they never truly understood us, did they ? It’s about the bond between a mother and daughter, and a man in between. It’s about becoming Queen of the Underworld, about reigning despite everything else, even destiny itself. It’s about consuming the seed, knowing you will never be the same again.
